We're George and Sue, Independant Celebrants based in Bristol

In our modern secular society fewer people are associated with a particular belief system or place of worship, and yet many still have some form of spiritual beliefs that they may wish to express in their own way on the saddest of occasions, a funeral. Many people are unaware that there is another option that can be offered instead of a religious or humanist approach to a funeral. As an independent Celebrant, we are able to write and conduct ceremonies that personally reflect an individual’s philosophies and beliefs.

Each ceremony is a personalised, unique celebration of the life of the person who has died whilst at the same time sensitively acknowledging the grief of those left behind. We are able to spend a lot of time with bereaved families prior to the funeral to learn as much as possible about their loved one and to actively encourage positive participation in these life-centered funerals. A celebrant respects those of all faiths and none and is able to incorporate aspects of any belief system if required.

We work in partnership with a mentor celebrant who has many years experience of alternative ceremony.
We can also organise and provide bespoke floral tributes, and professional musicians (cello and guitar)
for your ceremony or wake.

We'd love to talk to you about how I can help you with your ceremony.
